I just got my work permit and tomorrow (Monday night) I have to get on a plane back to Europe. Is it possible to get me re entry stamp at the airport or do I have to go to immigration in Chang Wantanna or can I go to a different immigration office ?

Any help will be gratefully appreciated. Thanks

In theory you can obtain at airport up to midnight but have seen recent report of office being closed at 9PM so would advise you obtain at Chiangwatanna to be sure. You are on an extension of stay (has nothing to do with work permit) and want to retain that current permitted to stay period?

Thanks for your reply

I entered 3 weeks ago on a non immigrant b , now I got my work permit but no stamp im my passport. The company said I have to go to immigration and get a multiple entry stamp in my passport.Sorry I'm a bit naive about all this but I hope I am explaining myself well.

Did you enter on a single or multi entry visa? If you have multi entry you just use that for a new entry on your return and do not need a re-entry permit. There is no such thing as a multi entry stamp from immigration - perhaps they mean a multi re-entry stamp but that would only be valid up until the end of your current 90 day stay so for one trip a single re-entry would be all you need. But if you have a multi entry visa you will not even need that.

Yes but only 0600-2400 and a recent report said was closed at 2100 so would not plan on using it for anything but emergency.

I saw the re-entry permit desk at the airport in use one afternoon on my way out a few weeks ago but I'd follow lop's advice and get the permit from your local immigration office if possible...

Thanks for the advice.I will go down to the Changwatanna office tomorrow and check it out with them although Im a bit confused as to what it is I actually need but someone from the cpmpany said they would be available on the phone tomorrow when I'm in Immigration. They said I had to fill out form TM8 and then take that , my work permit and my passport so I guess it's straight forward

I suspect you will need copies of your passport data page and visa/entry and departure card plus photo and 1,000 baht for single or 3,900 multi entry.

But not sure why you need it if going back to Europe for more than a day or two as you must have 90 days or less remaining and you will not gain any time with a re-entry permit but could get a new visa and enter on that for a new 90 day stay on return with normal company paperwork and about 2,000 baht.
