Koh Chang? I haven't checked but it is usually absolutely sodden at this time of year.

Koh Samet? - maybe - don't want to chill and I really need to take the car.

Prachuap is one of my favourites - all reports though say rain rain t=rain - Hua Hin gives me the creeps.

I really would like somewhere more interesting sitting in a bungalow watching the rain fall on a beach is not my idea of a few days out.

I'd like something either more active or cultural

I'm going to check out a few places along the coast - largely for future reference.
