Accident Saraburi: Father Killed by Speeding Pickup Truck Moments After Buying Ice
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. A routine stop to buy a bag of ice ended in tragedy when a 46-year-old father was fatally struck by a speeding delivery pickup truck in Sao Hai District, Saraburi Province, just minutes before he was due to pick up his child. The incident occurred at 17:45 on 14 July, along the Huai Bong–Tha Lan Road, near Wat Huai Bun in Moo 8, Tha Chang subdistrict. Rescue teams from Sawang Rattanatrai Thammasathan Foundation and police from Sao Hai Police Station responded swiftly to the emergency call. CCTV footage from a roadside shop captured the horrifying moment. The victim, later identified as Mr. Chaiwat, had parked his white Neta V electric vehicle and walked to a nearby grocery to purchase a 5-baht bag of ice. As he returned to load it into the boot of his car, a white Isuzu box truck came hurtling down the road at high speed and ploughed directly into him and his car, sending both flying over 10 metres. Witnesses described the scene as shocking. “There was no sign the truck slowed down, no braking at all,” one shopkeeper said. “It hit him at full force.” Mr. Chaiwat sustained severe head injuries and was found unresponsive at the scene. Rescue workers performed CPR in a desperate attempt to revive him, but he succumbed to his injuries en route to Sao Hai Hospital. His wife, who had been accompanying him, suffered only minor injuries and was treated at the hospital. The driver of the box truck, who also sustained minor injuries, was detained by police. Initial investigations confirmed that he tested negative for alcohol and drugs. He later admitted to falling asleep at the wheel, leading to the fatal crash. Police have charged him with reckless driving causing death. It was later revealed that Mr. Chaiwat and his wife had planned to collect their child from school before heading to a local sports complex for evening exercise. What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2025)
Yeah. I usually always watch at least a couple of episodes. Duster, however, I only lasted 20 minutes. At least it wasn't only me. Already cancelled,.
