just came back from a 3600km roadtrip in 6 days. most CNG/NGV pumps for trucks and smaller vehicles south of BKK had lines of hours

BKK- Pattaya was shorter lines, but you still have to que up

If thats your thing to have range of 180-250km and wait for fuel if any available, fine.

In addition I wouldnt live with the extremely low power in TH NGV pickups

I really am not surprised by all the mis-information on this post. Yes they need more CNG stations and are building them at about 2 a month. Most stations do have multi pumps. Some for big trucks t

What about LPG ? I see a lot of gas stations for that....What is the difference between CNG/NGV and LPG...??I see a lot of conversions in EU and here as well lately.

Put it the other way, there is no similarity between LPG and CNG/NGV, they are totally different, and not one part from a LPG system can be used in a NGV system.

LPG is available from small companies, and to wait in line for fillup is only during rush hours, just like petrol. In addition its less likely to damage engine, due to lower combustion temp

Thanks....what puzzles me is,why you can buy a CNG assisted truck from a dealer and it's ok,but if you convert to the LPG you'll lose you guarantee ?...I would be happy to pay extra for something, that could be a good return in the future....the other think is,that they don't allow to park those cars in parking garages...are they really so dangerous?

if your petrol or diesel system leaks, its visible and fluid and possible to prevent explosion and possible to remove by soaking it up.

if your LPG or CNG system leaks its invisible and will blow up. In addition the gases are more heavy than air, so how to evacuate a LPG/CNG leak from a basement garage?

new vehicles are not allowed to be registered running LPG. LPG is to a great extent imported, CNG mostly domestic product, and all TH fuel incentives and solutions are focused on reducing import fuel

Now Toyota offers CNG option on 2.7 benzine trucks while 3 year/100,000km warranty still remains.

Thanks again...that explains it....so installing a CNG will be ok now in CM,only going South is a problem?...any map of existing pump stations?

Not to many stations in CM(3-4) and all away from my place...LPG must be a choice here.
