Take a look in the domestic news forum. I think there's a story with info on what roads are closed.

Hopefully by the time your family gets here the highways, at least, will be okay.

Roads are defitely open at this time.

Buses from BKK arriving in KKC, seen on my last visit on Saturday.

From Suv. by car via 7/9/1/2 is no problem.

Problems on highway 1 are further north.

Can't tell you wheter there is any problem to get from Suv. to Morchit (?) if one wants to use a bus.

You can not use Highway 1 but can use outer ring road to route 305 to bypass flooded area or use route 304. But as more floodwater's are diverted to the Eastern area these could become impassable at some point so I would high recommend flight to Udon.

Up until yesterday and one way or another bus's from the Mochit bus terminal are making it to Udon and regional centers.

i have just taken the bus from sida, which is about 1hour south of khon kaen, to bangkok and although it took at different route it just added 1 hour to the journey.

Ahh! I stand corrected then, Thanks for clearing that up.
