Man hurt as he collides face-first with the back of a coach on Pattaya Beach

PATTAYA: -- A 25 year old motorbike driver collided, face-first, with the back of a stationary coach, parked outside the Hard Rock Hotel on Pattaya Beach, in the early hours of Tuesday. Police and Rescue Services were called to the scene of the accident and attended to Khun At who sustained facial and leg injuries. A 15 year old passenger on the bike sustained very minor injuries. The coach driver, Khun Somporn aged 38 explained that he had parked in front of the Hotel where he was due to pick-up a group of Korean tourists. He suddenly heard a thud at the rear of his vehicle and went to investigate and found the driver of the bike in pain on the road

If the coach was double parked as usual in the middle of the road I hope the driver will be prosecuted. Tour buses double parking at their convenience (but nobody else's) on Beach Road are dangerous and a menace. Not to mention the traffic jams they cause at busy times.

Totally agree! These buses double park, often during peak hour, and cause many traffic jams. Situation is even worse when there is a market on Beach Road as well.
