TrevorCardozo
First on my visa run and tomorrow I will be leaving right from the embassy to the border to hop over and grab a flight in Udon Thani.Just wondering how much people typically pay (in Kip preferably) so I don't get ripped off too much. Thanks in advance!
DennyEagle
I have paid as little as 100 baht, but 200 is more likely.
justaphase
Go for an old taxi (they all are!) and pay 100-150 baht. You should get one easy while waiting in line for your passport in the morning.
poanoi
Why dont you go with the small busses from bus station ? it's ~15 baht IIRC Btw, be warned of the taxi mafia in Vientiane all, the scum charge 3 to 4 times what it cost in Pattaya, I'll rent a bicycle next time if i ever have to go there again. MESmith
A year ago, they had aircon minibuses outside the embassy, that were leaving for the border when full. 50bt per person?
justaphase
This old guy in an even older car... was hardly mafia. Its quite a way to go door to door for 100b. Ive been going there 12 years and its always my choice.
