Hi, think I might have got food poisoning (stupid me, raw egg put in a soup @ jap restaurant).

Started day after which is last saturday. Upset watery belly in the mornings for the most part. Went to bnh yesterday am, on 3rd dose of omnicef 100mg this am. No sign of improvement yet. Have enough meds for tonight and tomorrow morning.

No fever btw but slight bloating lower right ab prior to going to washroom.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

If you suspect the raw egg, it could be salmonella.

For a regular food poisoning I normally take charcoal, drink a lot of fluid and eat minimal food that is low on fat and proteins - I just don't feel like eating otherwise, if you ask me.

Normally it lasts a few days and I slowly increase the amounts of food I eat.

Well I am now trying the charcoal - any idea how long till one might see some improvement. Been to the washroom 4X today. This has been going on for a week now.

A weeks too long, but seeing that you're only on the 3rd dose of Omnicef, you should see the doctor again if symptoms dont ease within the next 24 hours. Stay hydrated. :)

Not Sure....

It may be more than that.

Here in Cm, I went from pretty severe constipation yesterday. First time in my life and I never realized just how bad it could be....

To the other end of the scale with very 'Bad Trots' today. I have not strayed far from the TB all day long.

Perhaps it may be some kind of 'Bug'

In any case. I hope that the charcoal tablets work.

It still sounds fairly routine, albeit disturbing for you the sufferer of it.

Certainly when I get an upset stomach, I have noticed that the very fact that I get anxious about it is part of the illness itself. Difficult I know, but try to put this to the back of your mind and get plenty of rest if possible.

Thanks guys, I see the results of the charcoal firsthand ;)

Thinking back, my first episode was actually a week before what I mentioned, a day after eating some stir-fried beef that seem how to say not cooked properly but not like a medium rare steak if you know what I mean. Next day boom, but then it went away for several days so thought that was it. Then it returned as mentioned in the original post.

I do get a bit bloated after eating and then a couple hours later...toilet time.
