Courrier Service - Blood Sample

Featured Replies

I hope this is the right forum to as such a question.

I just bought a chihuahua puppy for a friend in Denmark who will come to take it home in March next year.

EU regulations require that one month after recieving the rabies vaccination, a sample of the puppy's blood has to be sent to the rabies testing authorised laboratory in Denmark after which they will issue the necessary papers, which will allow the puppy to enter Denmark. No way going around this EU regulation and a sample will have to be sent to them.. apparently they don't recognise tests done in Thailand..

I have contacted DHL, Airborne express and Leo transport who said they don't provide services for the transport of blood samples.. The local post office says it can be done, but can't "guarantee" the sample will "survive" the trip.

Can anyone help me out please!.. Does anyone know if there are companies that provide such services... Any advice is highly appreciated...

Check with World Courier (0-2513-9091). They specialize in transporting that kind of stuff.

Thanks for the info.. will call them today...

It's definitely possible because Vitallife at Bumrungrad sends their samples to Paris for tests that aren't available in Thailand.

i work for dhl and they do do it, so give them another call.
