Extention Based On Marriage Copy Of Kor Ror 2

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

This is just a quick question in order to apply for an extention to a visa extention based on marriage there is a requirement to produce a copy of Kopr Ror 2 (marriage registration or long tabian) from amphoe office, dated not older than 6 months from issue of copy.

My question is does this have to be obtained from the amphoe where you registered your marriage or can you get it from any amphoe. For example I will be in Udon Thani and that is where I will be applying for my extention but our marriage was registered in an amphoe in Bangkok, therefore will I have to go to Bangkok to get my copy or will it be able to be accessed from a computer in the Udon amphoe.

Thank you in advance for any help with this.

Kindest regards

Andy

I have never had one but going from many posts on here you can get at any Amphur.

It should be on computer.

As said any District Office should be able to print out/sign a copy if a recent marriage but for those more than about 7 years ago it may not be on computer and have to be obtained from original office in that case (believe all are being entered so may go back further now so check if you need).

Yes, it can print out at any District office as I have done it in Chiang Mai but my marriage registration is in Bangkok 14 years ago. Hope it will help.

I have always used the original one, never gotten a new one. That said my wife and I are known to my local office, so it is easier.

That said all must be approved at Bangkok level so you may indeed have to obtain a new one at some point. It is only within the last several years that it has even been asked most places but seems to be a firm requirement now.

In 14 years, we have never been ask for anything other than the printed marriage certificate. No other paperwork concerning marriage.
