LM answered already. Dependant on the company you keep, the only derogatory remarks seem to come from those in a certain industry. I usually hear, farang roo mot mai dee. ludditeman Posted November 23, 2011 Share Posted November 23, 2011 I was under the impression that correct Thai language structure would be to comment on the 'ability' after the object. so after the words "poot pasa Thai" the next word indicates ability, then you go on to specify an opinion on that skill poot pasa Thai = speak Thai next word add their ability level dai = can geng mak = very skilled mai geng = not skilled so "poot pasa Thai dai tere mai geng" translates as "can speak Thai language but not very well" Lots of mix and match from previous posters with incorrect sentence structures would invariably lead to comments of "aray na" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
