November 30, 201114 yr I am not advocating breaking the law or anything like that, but it just so happens that today (Wednesday 30th November 2011), that if you were going to make a bid to get your Thai Bride into the UK, you couldnt have picked a better day to try. You see millions of public sector workers here in the UK, dont like the idea of working past 60 years old, while the rest of us toil on to the (just annonced yesterday 67 years old".) While I am on that point, I dont see the myther in retireing at all, because I dont think I will make it past 70 years old and I can have a bloody good time spending 3 years in Pattaya. So anyway the borders now open you have a little over 23 hours left. Good luck. By the way take this post with the pinch of salt it as intended. Edited November 30, 201114 yr by autan
November 30, 201114 yr Without the relevant visa she wouldnt be able to board the plane in BKK, so dosnt make any difference.
November 30, 201114 yr As for your dig atpPublic sector workers, they actually pay between 6-12% of their salary for their 'gold plated pensions" so it isnt free...private sector workers didnt give a jot when annuity rates were higher..so really they do have a legitamate reason for striking.
November 30, 201114 yr Heard Thailand offered to send some Immigration officers there, but they were all turned away at Check-In as they did not have the correct Visa.
