Non-Imm. "O" Multi-Entry (90 Or 60 Days)

Featured Replies

I like to think that I keep abreast of the requirements and limitations of all the visas available for staying in Thailand. In the case of a Non-Immigrant "O" Visa (Multiple Entry for one year), I was convinced that each entry was for 90 days. But now, after some lengthy 'discussion', I was told that only the first entry is for 90 days. Thereafter, further entries are for 60 days during the validity of the visa and each entry can be extended for another 30 days after paying 1,900 baht each time!!!

My "discussion" sparring partner obtained his Non-Imm. "O" ME from the Hull Consulate and he swears blind that he was told that by the Hull Consulate and that other people from the UK will back him up! He says that the changes were made not too long ago.

Please tell me that my understanding is the correct one.

Thank you.

Each entry is for a maximum of 90 Days as long as the Visa is valid.

Do a border run just before it expires and get another 90 days, thus stretching it out to almost 15 months.

I suspect "your friend" does not qualify for a multi entry non immigrant O visa from Hull under there new policy and must obtain three entry tourist visas now. For them it will be 60+30 routine. The allowed entry on non immigrant O visa is 90 days regardless of it being first or 21st.
