Work Permit Or Get Visa

My current non b visa and work permit valid till 31 march 2012.

Now I have received new contract from school till 31 march 2013.

I want to ask ; where I will go first

1) renew visa till 31 march 2013 and then go to renew work permit

OR

2) renew work permit till 31 march 2013 and then go to to get visa.

Believe you are on extension of stay from immigration rather than a visa but in any case you need the new work permit before you can extend or obtain visa. So suspect step 2 is the direction you want to proceed.
