First Visa Run, Best Place To Go ?

Featured Replies

Ive, come with a triple entry and done the immigration 30 day stamp on first entry, but now have to do a border crossing.

What paper work, forms, pictures and costs are needed also is it possible to do by agent border run here in Pattaya ?

Its first time and a bit nervous. Do we need to stay over for so many days or quick return ?

So mini bus or plane ?

Many thanks for 1st timers

Should cost about 2,000 baht using a van service (that is Bangkok price but believe Pattaya is very close to the same). Leave early morning and return late afternoon. Normal photo requirement I believe but suspect service takes care of everything else.

What nationality are you?

Do you have a triple entry tourist visa?

What is the issue date?

What is the expiration date, or "must enter by date?

When did you enter Thaland?

What is the "must leave by date" on the stamp in your passport?

If they only gave you 30 days on entry, you might be able to extend at immigration without doing a border run. Please answer the above questions

As said there are companies in Pattaya that will take care of you.

All you need to do is cross the border into another Country, turn round and return.

His post says that he has come with a "triple Entry", a triple entry what? Tourist, Non-O and why did they only give him 30 days on the first entry?

Believe he means that he got a 30 day extension from immigration already and now needs to do a border run.

As WayneD states something not right here, if he has triple entry why only 30 days ? depending on Visa type surely that should have been 60 or 90 days on Entry and if he has a triple why does the title say "double required"

He says he has done the 30 day extension of the first tourist visa entry and now must depart the country for the second entry is my reading.

And mine

I see what you are saying but certainly didn't read it that way. So what you are sayiing is that he has entered on his first entry and received 60 days and has already extended that entry for another 30 days . He now has to exit and re-enter on his second entry. I only took encryto-code reading 101, you must be way ahead of me. Sorry!

I'm from UK and had triple tourist entry, did my 2 months and then got the 30 day extension from a decent chap in immigration at Jomtien.

Question now is where do we go to do border run for new or second entry to take effect, as never done it before.

Seems like a few answers have enlightened us already, sounds easy enough.

Thanks everyone for the help.:D

If you were in Bkk I would say take a van from Victory Monument to Poi Pet then cross over and go to Siam Reap and see Angkor Wat for a few days. It is an inexpensive trip that is absolutely worth while to see. The 2k baht is a convenient option. I did the crossing myself 220baht van + 20US and 100Baht (100 just to be nice and not have any hassles). It is a quick trip and well worth the few extra days in Cambodia. Might as well see some of these places while you are here. Thailand is more modern and way more convenient than Cambodia but that place has some true gems.
