December 6, 201114 yr Hi there, I am just wondering if it is even possible to deposit a cheque via post to HSBC in UK? I've just received the cheque in Thailand (paid from another UK bank) and now have no idea how can I get it deposited from here. Not visiting the UK within the next 2-3 months for sure. So can I just mail them the cheque? Thanks guys.
December 6, 201114 yr If it's in your name it shouldn't be a problem. Just write on the back "credit account number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" and sign it.
December 6, 201114 yr Why don't you ask the sender to cancel the cheque and do a electronic transfer. you just need to give them your account details and job sorted.
December 6, 201114 yr Up to about 18 months ago, before NHS Lothian caught up with even the 20th century, I used to email them a form with my invoice every month and they would attach a cheque and send it to my bank (Nationwide). The form was downloadable from the bank website and the cheques were sent to the head office. So, enquire with your bank...
December 6, 201114 yr Author Thanks guys. Exactly my point though. Who do cheques these days. It's the first time I've ever received a cheque from abroad.
