Pattaya Karaoke Girl Groped By Khmer Workers

PATTAYA: -- Two Thais helping a karaoke girl groped by drunk Cambodian construction workers were viciously whipped by the Khmers and seriously injured.

Pattaya, December 4, 2011[PDN]; Pattaya police was notified about a group of Cambodian workers who beat up two Thai men in front of Wang Kang Kao karaoke lounge in Nong Yai Soi 8, Pattaya

At the scene of the fracas the police found a pool of blood and boards of hard wood, steel pipes and bricks on the ground.

The two injured named Mr. Jaroonrat Toparn age 30, another man unidentified age 30. The two men had both sustained deep head and facial injuries and we’re unconscious. They were immediately sent to Chonburi hospital for surgery.

Upon investigation the karaoke girl said that a gang of Cambodian construction workers, with the band leader Mr.” Seau “and six others were drinking whisky. They got drunk and one of them touched the breast of Miss “Nong Pang” employee of the lounge.

The Thai guy, Mr. Jaroonrat and his friend friend witnessed the groping and came to assist Miss “Nong Pang” and told the Khmers to stop and apologise to the the lady. A fight broke out. The six Cambodian gang dragged Mr. Jaroonrat and his friend out of the shop and beat them with hard wood, bricks and steel pipes until Mr. Jaroonrat and his friend were severely injured, bleeding on the ground beside the karaoke lounge.

Lets see, karaoke bar, karaoke worker, alcohol, Thai face, Cambodian workers, the majority of whose plight here is well documented.

No I said lets hope they were.

They werent exactly at a church prayer meeting holding hands and thinking pure thoughts.

Wonder what the reaction would have been if it had been Thai men beating up Cambodians, kick a dog too many times and he might just turn round and bite you.

Maybe these guys have been putting up with shit for so long they decided it was time for some pay back.

You may recall there wasnt exactly a national outrage when a policeman chopped a girls arm off with a sword, she was a karaoke worker, the normal Thais attitude was she deserved it.

This is Pattaya after all.

Well I'd hazard a guess the Khmers think they've won the war but they might just find they only won round one.

The Thais don't like getting beat up particularly by foreigners so expect a rematch once the odds have been "evened" out.
