Renewing Extension Of Stay

Hi,I like to know how to renew my extension of stay,I have Non O visa based on child support,I live alone with my daughter.

My extension of stay is valid till January 30th 2012,my next 90 day report December 26th.

I got extension of stay from Immigration office in Sriracha.At the time when I got extension of stay they really checked all,I even had to take friends and neighbors to Immigration office.and it took them almost 2months to give me extension.

Actually I wanted to move to Lop buri,but I am scared I have to start all new if I change the Immigration office

It"s my first renewing of extension.

What documents are required?

When is the right time to renew?

Everything that was needed the first time will be required - but perhaps not neighbors. So proof of you being father and having guardianship and daughter living with you and the normal financial requirements plus copies of everything. You should do during the last 30 days of current extension so early January should be good. It should not be harder in Lopburi - just another police check of home would likely be required. Normally it will be approved in 30 days.

Hii thanks for reply,if I understand you correct I have to do all the same I did last year,except maybe no need neighbors,and it makes no difference if I choose Lop Buri or Sriracha Immigration office,correct?

Right now I live more or less in Lop Buri already and my daughter also goes to school in Lop buri already,bu It keep my house in Chon Buri.

Do I have to also renew the certification for Immigration,I am receiving annuity payments from Germany,last certificate is from January 19th 2011

Yes that should be a letter from your Embassy each year for financials. You must use the office for your location so if you are not actually living in Lopburi at the time of application you would not be able to use that office.

For many years i did extension of stay based on child. Please also take a photo of yourself and daughter together as part of the application (photo preferably on day of application), they will keep on file.In bangkok this was a requirement, of course your daughter must be in attendence.
