Well seasons greetings to all who partake in such revelry...there aren't any conifers to be had, but did get the lights up. ett

Conifers grow well here and add a touch of green all year round. Some like to shape them but we like the wild look. I find them preferable to a wall and you can single one out for a Christmas tree in the future.

Had my lights up for the Kings birthday and the wife keeps adding and adding and adding....

Up her in Central in my village the people are mostly Buddhist, some Christians in the Muser village and a family of Muslims.

We all live (sort of) happily together and there are no signs of Xmas visible yet and the really great news is that Ginger Ben has yet to make an appearance in the village.

Last year he never came and hopefully he never will unlike in the big malls in BKK.

I don't know if this is anecdotal or not but what I've noticed to me is clear and unmistakable. Not talking about a change in behavior with Thai people that I know, but with random new to me Thais generally in business situations. Not all of them but a good percentage and a noticeable increase. I'm not talking about normal big city indifference and brusqueness that as an urban American doesn't phase me in the slightest.
