Longshot, but any information? Madrid or Barcelona.

I have 4 or 5 tourist visas in my passport. Was wondering if Spain would be more lenient than the consulates in Laos or Cambodia.

If you are in Spain, please try and update us on your experience. There does not seem to be any knowledge yet on this forum.

I would not recommend Madrid. They seem to have their own rules as regarding paperwork required, particularly for non-Spanish people.

Getting a (free at that time) tourist visa early last year was a bit of a headache.

I suggest you try the Gibraltar Consulate, very friendly and obliging gentleman.

I'm spanish and managed 3 times with the Thai embassy in Madrid. They are really strict for everything, if you can make it go to Gibraltar.
