The embassy see it differently they still say if you are intending to get married you should apply for a special visitors visa for marriage.

The reply TVE got from the embassy is ambiguous; they talk about the intention to marry when applying for the visa.

This is the topic in question.

The embassy never actually answer the question I see little need to apply for a special visitors visa now registrars see it totally differently to the UK/BA.

I don't think anyone will have a problem finding a registry office in the UK, they will need any divorce documents translating into English to present to the registrar.

Yes registry offices are everywhere, but not all are designated. for example Lincolnshire has 13 registry offices but only one is designated
