Body of British man washed-up on Pattaya Beach

PATTAYA: -- The body of a British man was found washed-up on Pattaya Beach close to the Bali Hai Port early on Sunday Morning. Police and rescue workers were called to the scene and inspected the body of Mr. Terence Davey aged 67. He was fully clothed and was floating face-down on the shoreline. Inside his pockets was a card which appeared to be a UN issued International Driving License which Police suspect is not real. The man was also carrying a hotel room key number 3051, although the identity of the hotel was not clear. Khun Boonlor aged 32 told Police that he had seen the man at around 1am sitting alone on the beach, drinking whisky, and claimed to have seen nothing unusual. Police have a number of theories relating to his death and believe this may have been an accidental drowning as a result of heavy drinking or a possible suicide or possibly as a result of third-party involvement after Police noticed a red mark on his chest.

Who'll give me odds on it being suicide?

It must be a suicide because he had no wallet or money. Everyone knows nobody ever kills themselves with money in their pockets in Thailand.

Unfortunately agree, nothing unusual about drunken ferengs lying about Pattaya most nites.

Accident, suicide, or murder they seem to have all the bases covered with this one!

RIP, a sad end

If the police know the man's name and age, wouldn't Immigration have a record of which hotel was his residence?

R.I.P

Not "Just" another dead Westener......hopefully someone loved and cared about him somewhere....RIP

Could he be a victim of the gangs of ladyboys that troll the area for drunks to mug?
