charmonman
Perhaps, as some posters have suggested, the Police Maj. Gen. is being a little hypocritical. However, I think there is a difference between what goes on within the country of Thailand, and having a foreign movie production company come in to Thailand to make a film portraying the rape by foreign men of a Thai airline hostess. Am I wrong?
roc634
I think the post is a very successful promo of that porn. Poeole will rush to buy or download it.
brizz
These films ruin the image of Thailand, but what about all the bootleg DVDs littered all over Sukhumvit every day and night? What do those say about Thailand?

OzMick
I thought there would be some bathroom action at the airport. That idea was abandoned after seeing the conditions in the stalls. I fondly remember an Army doctor telling us that it WAS possible to catch a venereal didease in a public toilet, and anybody that consented to sex with you there was quite likely to have it. GooEng
a policeman first claiming that very few pornos are made in thailand (and outrigth lie) and then going on to complain that it will tarnish thailand's image?!?!? the irony is leaving a sour metallic taste in my mouth .... nikster
a policeman first claiming that very few pornos are made in thailand (and outrigth lie) and then going on to complain that it will tarnish thailand's image?!?!? Not if you know that police in Thailand practice "opposite speech": Whatever they say, there's a pretty good chance the exact opposite is true. Invert all their statements and they're pretty reasonable!
nikster
PS: I think it's interesting they can shoot any kind of movie without Suvannaphum airport officials knowing about it. Not exactly tight security, is it?

Am I wrong? Absolutely wrong - it is a fantasy, nobody is actually being raped. Similar to the Vatican getting their cassocks in a knot over films with nympho nuns. IMHO whatever pulls your trigger is OK as long as nobody is actually hurt (which EXCLUDES pedo!)
DocN
This police- guy obviously lives on the same planet, where 2 bare- breasted girls on Songhkran do more harm to a country, than openly selling childporn on Sukhumvit!

harsh4
Pol. Maj. Gen. Piya Utayo, Office of the National Police said, that the statistics show that very few x-rated movies have been produced in Thailand. But these films can ruin the image of Thailand and the police will coordinate with the ICT ministry to block websites and companies distributing x-rated movies produced in Thailand. This is very funny!! Maybe most people here are not old enough to remember but many years ago Bangkok was called "The Blue Movie Capital of the World." That was before such things were called porn and were known as blue movies. Funny indeed....this is reminiscent of the Minister woman (I think her name was Paweena) many years ago. She was famous for 'rescuing' girls from prostitution and ran a foundation type of thing to rehabilitate displaced women. All very good. But while she was minister she did a tour of Pattaya, then returned to Bangkok and announced that she saw no evidence of prostitution in Pattaya. True story. I wonder where she was looking while in Pattaya...:-)

And unwillingly she walks with him towards the carpark. Next scene the car is on the express way. Inside the car that the air hostess and the Japanese man who was harassing her. She is trying to resist him all the time, “What are you doing?, where will you take me to?”, she says. He face shows anger. They arrive at Sukhumvit road. Next scene in the room and the air hostess asks the Japanese guy. “Why you bring me here ?”. Another man enters the room. They grab her and throw her on the sofa and then the x-rated scenes start. Do you really think the majority of men are into violence against women? Of course some are, but I think most balanced individuals would pass. silsburyhill
'Ruin the image of Thailand'?! At the end of one of the episodes of Ted Danson's Bored To Death there's always a different song. I've been here a long time but even I had to re-wind to check the first line which goes 'On a ferris wheel on Coney Island you can see more stars than there are prostitutes in Thailand'. This from an American made series and an English band (Magnetic Field, if anyone's interested). Is this guy being disingenuous or is he merely thick? Roj
It`s the way many in the outside world still see Thailand so the authorities have got their work cut out if they want to portray the country in a more respectable light.

sirchai
This is not the first time that Thailand is used a backdrop for a porn movie I can't believe that they start their "Bukake" movies now here in the LOS! It's a shame that they use such an innocent city to produce their porn. Please post the link as I'll investigate this case.....
