HereIAm
This is a great news report, a very rare one which describes the scenes in a porn movie while appearing to be critical. Wonder if this is a paid report. Great one all the same and one which will only add greatly to the internet traffic flood -- my side included. The least the merciless reporter could have done is to provide the weblink. Just a worried thought : does this flick also have pixellated censorship like most Japanese adult movies on the net ? HereIAm
http://www.thephuket...s-set-28266.php As the trailer above shows, the lady appears to be not Thai, but Japanese. Then again, the Thai authorities should have no objection because the porn scenes were not shot at the airport (ahem, now wouldn't that have been an achievement). MaxYakov
These films ruin the image of Thailand, but what about all the bootleg DVDs littered all over Sukhumvit every day and night? What do those say about Thailand? Thailand needs more litter containers and/or street sweepers working 24/7?

bigbamboo
After talking to the camera, the air hostess walks across to the the departure hall at Suvannabhumi airport and a Japanese guy walks up to her. Talks to her. Takes her suitcase. And unwillingly she walks with him towards the carpark. Next scene the car is on the express way. Inside the car that the air hostess and the Japanese man who was harassing her. She is trying to resist him all the time, “What are you doing?, where will you take me to?”, she says. He face shows anger. They arrive at Sukhumvit road. Next scene in the room and the air hostess asks the Japanese guy. “Why you bring me here ?”. Another man enters the room. They grab her and throw her on the sofa and then the x-rated scenes start. What is it with rape in Japanese pornos? They like it. Yep, rape and railways. spidermike007
It is quite possible that not only the image of Thailand as a country of great purity and innocence will be soiled by this incident, but the Thai people could be corrupted by the presence of porn in their country. Perish the thought that people are actually filming sex here. Since there is no sex industry to speak of, the elders, officials, and ministers have to work hard to make sure this does not spread, and give the women of this country any ideas. It could lead to a corruption of the clean spirit and morality of the people, and God forbid, tourists could start coming to Thailand to have sex with the local girls. travelman6
Thailand has been known as the SEX capital of the world for as long as I can remember and Pattaya is known as the largest Brothel in the world, so what is the big deal. And what planet is Pol. Maj. Gen. Piya Utayo living on???
troy04
'Ruin the image of Thailand'?! At the end of one of the episodes of Ted Danson's Bored To Death there's always a different song. I've been here a long time but even I had to re-wind to check the first line which goes 'On a ferris wheel on Coney Island you can see more stars than there are prostitutes in Thailand'. This from an American made series and an English band (Magnetic Field, if anyone's interested). Is this guy being disingenuous or is he merely thick? Thanks, interesting, the link of this song: When i last bought porn cd's at leaest 7-8 years ago in sukhumvit, or friends bought and i copied from them, at least 50% were filmed in Bangkok in nice hotels rooms, and as introduction a Tuktuk ride or a walk in Sukhumvti Rd. or a park nearby! The label was something like 'Private ..' i forgot. Same on internet, many pictures and movies made in Thailand one can easy see. They just say something to make themself important and kind of keep face 'innocent', patriotic to their countries innocence and virginity? From what I've heard that would have been a matter of walking into one of the hair salons in Don Muang. Not sure what is the current status in Swampy. BigJohnnyBKK
Perhaps, as some posters have suggested, the Police Maj. Gen. is being a little hypocritical. However, I think there is a difference between what goes on within the country of Thailand, and having a foreign movie production company come in to Thailand to make a film portraying the rape by foreign men of a Thai airline hostess. Am I wrong? Well, if you put it like that, the long-dormant PC part of my brain does tingle a little bit. However I think the central point of hilarity here is whenever someone official talks about protecting "Thailand's reputation", since everyone knows that was irretrievably shot to hell decades ago. When I tell people overseas that I live in Bangkok, they are either interested because they are fellow sex addicts, or disgusted because they aren't. Temples and beaches are definitely way down the radar scope, all anyone associates Thailand with overseas is sex sex sex. And the other major point is that these officials are only interested in maintaining some illusion of appearances - they don't give a hoot about actual **real** problems, injustices etc. Thais care a lot more about the surface first impression than the underlying reality. And although it makes me cry sometimes, most of the time it's worth a good hoot.
Arkady
This clip is very poor quality and was obviously filmed by an amateur videographer using a hand held consumer DLSR camera or maybe even a point and shoot model. Perhaps they will now have a crack down on anyone carrying a camera at the airport. Meanwhile the pornographers have read this and will have moved on to somewhere else. With the advent of HD video consumer cameras are now often used to make documentaries and even feature films. There must be thousands of blue movies made in Thailand every week. jmccarty
Next scene in the room and the air hostess asks the Japanese guy. “Why you bring me here ?”. Another big man enters the room. They grab her and throw her on the sofa and then ...wait a minute!! It turns out she isn't a Thai Airlines hostess after all, that's right!! This looks like a job for PC Air's hostess with the mostest, lets all give a big round of appluase to, "Khun Apple"!! (er says Adam is her first name on her passport). Khun Apple whips out her enormous third leg, and pummels the two unsuspecting Sumo-punters into submssion, I tell you that takes some balls!

atyclb
It is quite likely better publicity and image projection than a high level customs official assaulting security for doing his job and trying to keep the secure area safe for passengers and crew and aircraft.
