blossombkk
Hi, I asked a question before regarding this issue but this would be my first time to do it so I'd like to be sure of what i'm doing. So my daughter is 15 years old and had a student visa, which is now expired since dec.1 2011. I realize now that i'd have to leave the country asap to get a new visa for her. I know I'd have to pay the fine of 20,000 tb and also i was advised to leave the country via an airport so we'll have better chances of not being troubled by an arrest. also i understand i'd need a consulate and not a border visa. so what would be the best country to go to? what kind of tourist visa should i obtain (length)?and how long should i be staying there? Thank you for any advise
Mario2008
If she goes to school, she needs paperwork from the school in order to obtain a new ED-visa from a consulate and extensions of stay from immigration for 1 year as long as she continues to study. Any consulate will do, just choose the one closest/eassiest to travel to. Normally it takes 2 work days to get the visa. (Apply day 1, pick-up day 2 in the afternoon). But a few require 3 days.
