January 19, 201214 yr Hi, A further question :- Provided sufficient funds in a Thai Bank already aged for 60 days - can a 90 Day Non O Visa be switched to a 12 Month Non O Visa ( Retirement ) at any time? i.e. Not necessary to do it after 60 days into the 90 Day Non O Visa? January 19, 201214 yr Apply for the 12 month extension within the final 30 days of your permision to stay. They will sometime accept it early if you have a good reason. Travelling etc.
January 19, 201214 yr Don't some offices permit you to do the 12 month extension early, like at the same time that you switch from visa exempt and get your initial O visa? Chiang Mai definitely won't -- they want you to come in for the 12 month extension during the final 30 days of the 90-day O visa.
January 19, 201214 yr Most will do both at the same time if meeting requirements - if not they will normally tell you to return in 60 days when doing the conversion.
