Rimmer Posted January 21, 2012 Share Posted January 21, 2012 200,000 Baht bag snatch in North Pattaya PATTAYA: -- A bag snatch occurred in North Pattaya late on Friday Night, resulting in the theft of over 200,000 Baht’s worth of cash and valuables. The victim, Khun Nalee aged 41 was walking with her German boyfriend in Soi 7 off the North Pattaya Road, close to Pattaya City Hall, when the snatch took place. She ran into City Hall, knowing they have a CCTV Control Center and with the assistance of a City Hall Officer she managed to spot the suspect leave the area on his motorbike, in the direction of the Sukhumvit Road. Armed with the evidence, she then made her way to Pattaya Police Station to report the crime and explained that inside the bag was 3,500 Euro’s, 25,000 Baht, 50,000 Baht’s worth of gold and a mobile phone. I spoke to the motorbike thief this afternoon and he assured me he had hoped to pinch a couple of thousand Baht only.
