Since gold's close to 10kBaht, I'm trying to think of a gift for my TG--

And, maybe?, I've found it!

A gift basket of TABASCO HOT SAUCES :D

Ever since her first time at Bourbon St restaurant in Pattaya using, she uses it with nearly EVERY meal :o

Any other UNIQUE gifts you're giving this year?

A deep-fat fryer.

A Western cookbook.

Good luck on that. When I first got married my wife was all excited about learning to cook farang food and bought cookbooks and all. Nine years later and I'm still waiting for that meal. :o

Actually she is a great cook of Western and Thai food - used to have a restaurant.

She learned from my mother/grand-mother too - all my favourites.

Lasagne, Spag. Bol., Chicken Kiev, macaroni cheese, fish and chips etc. Indian food too which is a real bonus.

Was a big factor, or maybe 'bonus' is a better word in getting married. All any previous g/fs could do was make Mama Noodles. Chicken Korma was for lunch today.

Give me a traditional Thai girl anyday!

Some people care about their status, I care about how my stomache feels.

It's true what the old-wifies say about the way to a man's heart. :o

If you love her and believe that the relationship will last forever......

give her: money, diamonds, gold, condominium, all expenses paid holiday around the world, new car, 55 gallon drum of French perfume, 55 gallon drum of French champagne, yacht.................

If you love her but fear that the relationship may not last the distance..........

buy her: A beer bar in Pattaya.

If you don't really love her but just want to be nice..............

Shake her hand and simply say, "Merry Christmas."

If you really love her don't give her anything for Christmas, because she doesn't know the meaning. But New Years, usually all Thais exchange gifts. I suggest a vacuum cleaner. :o

On a serious note (a mop and a brush :o Shame on you! I hope Santa puts a lump of coal in your stocking this Christmas :D) a well known brand name perfume will go over nicely. Don't buy her face creams or any cosmetics--that is always a very personal choice (dry skin, combo etc--I'm sure you don't have a clue :D ).

A day trip to a spa would be also be a terrific gift. Every girl likes a bit of pampering.

Funnily enough my wife and I have never swapped a present. We have only been together about 4 years though so I may be speaking too early.

Sometimes I arrive home a day earlier than she expected (when I am working away) and she loves that surprise, otherwise I could not tell you what to buy as a gift.

I had not thought of this before, I wonder if my wife ever wants a gift?

Nah..... :o
