Hi!

I am currently overstaying a few days and was wondering if it is possible to do a visa run to Aranyaprathet without getting in trouble. Can I just pay the fine at the border and come back the next day or is it wiser to leave Thailand by air?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

It is wiser to depart by air for several reasons; but there is actually very little chance of a problem by land.

1. You could be asked for ID en-route to border and that could result in arrest and jail until court fines.

2. Other country could take exception to your overstay stamp and refuse you entry - which would mean return to Thailand and being classed as illegal entry until departure.
