Bkk Hotel Good For Laptop Internet Use

I was looking for a reasonably priced central BKK hotel that has a reliable phone connection (and jack plug) so that I can dial out from my room to the Internet.

I could use mobile GPRS but at 100Bht/Mb pay as you go it is just too expensive.

Hope someone can help with first hand experience of using their laptop for Internet use from a hotel.

I've seen it posted in the elevators at the Grand Prsident Hotel (Sukh. Soi 11) that they have DSL connections available in their rooms for a reasonable fee (<500 baht/ day I think it was), though I've never used them.

Center Point on Petcheburi road (virtually opposite Pantip Plaza) has in room DSL and no extra charge. Inbetween 1500 - 1800 baht a night i think

Center Point would be a good bet then.

Was just in the elevator again at the GP (they have free parking), & noted their DSL rates.

200 baht daily, 1,250 weekly or 2,000 monthly.

You could google the GP BKK & probably get room rates, but I'd imagine they're pretty close to that of Center Point.
