Ukrainian Commanders Urge NATO to Learn Drone Warfare

Ukraine’s military leaders have stressed the important part that drones play in the ongoing conflict with Russia, stating it would be "nearly impossible" to fight without them.

At a panel during the Association of the US Army meeting in Germany, Maj. Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, in charge of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, urged NATO and US allies to adopt drone technology based on Kyiv’s experiences.

Brovdi, along with Brig. Gen. Volodymyr Horbatiuk, highlighted how drones are crucial for battlefield logistics and intercepting threats. This comes as Russian forces launched further drone attacks on Ukraine, hitting several cities including President Zelensky's hometown.

The panel's insight coincided with a recent shift by former President Donald Trump, who pledged increased air defences for Ukraine, reflecting frustration with ongoing peace efforts with Russia. Brovdi’s cautionary advice to Western allies was to remain sceptical about agreements with Russia.

Brovdi, who founded the drone unit “Magyar’s Birds” in 2022, shared experiences of using drones for reconnaissance and attacks. Originally comprised of civilians, his unit has significantly disrupted enemy operations. The commanders urged continued international support and a decisive stance in battling Russian aggression.

AI and drones are the future of warfare. Picture thousands of cheap drones doing a simultaneous attack. Nothing currently can stand up to that.

Yes, programming the drones to attack Moscow and sinking what's left  of their navy, and destroying what's left if their bombers, etc etc.

Too bad Russia can't get AI chips, huh?

Nothing like a real war to teach the military how to fight.

Ukraine needs to be listened to.  The have the experience and are correct.

While your only contribution to Putin's war is the propaganda you post here and likely elsewhere every day all day long.

Picture thousands of drones dropping to the ground like ruptured ducks. Drone warfare is just about to become obsolete before it could become the next big thing.

Leonidas is largely aimed at defeating unmanned aircraft, including swarms of drones. It could also potentially be employed against more traditional aircraft, as well as low-flying cruise missiles, and robotic threats on the ground or on the water.

Epirus describes IFPC-HPM as an effective, cost-efficient electromagnetic interference system with a “one-to-many” capability to disrupt the electronics of multiple drones simultaneously. It does so by transmitting long-pulse microwave energy across multiple frequency bands, which overloads the electrical systems of drones that fly into the electromagnetic field it creates. https://www.twz.com/land/army-puts-50m-bet-on-next-gen-leonidas-high-power-microwave-counter-drone-tech

My posts have always been for the war to end unlike yours.

Yes mine is propaganda, of course it is🤔, ive lost count how many times have you lot been proven wrong regarding The war, but you still lap up everything, just as you do with Trump, and no doubt did with covid too.

He is d@mm right. All best war tactics have been learned in actual wars.

Which is why Ukraine has switched to fibreoptic command drones. Now the battlefields resemble a spiders web at dawn.😀

Or from history!

Although expensive, future ground fighting will be with robots. 10 to 15 years I bet.  If there is not a total Wipeout before that.

Personally I love my daily dose of Russian slaughter by drone' long may it continue and remember Salisbury🤔

Not to worry. Their Chinese buddies will supply them.

The quote in the post is correct. You can develop the most advanced war tech, but in just a few years it will be dealt with. The idea is to adapt and overcome.

US has sunk billions of dollars developing and manufacturing stealth technology, just for some other countries to develop radar systems that can see past that. The latest is the hypersonic missile tech, but it won't take long before it's dealt with.

Homo Sapiens has proven itself to be the most destructive species on the planet, ever. No other species kill  their own or others for pleasure or personal gain. Perhaps it would be better for the Mother Earth if we just nuke ourselves to extinction, and let a new species take over as top dog.
