Airline Recommendations Usa<>Thai

Featured Replies

Considering that most airlines charge fees for ticket changes, I'm looking for one that does not.

Thai Airways tickets are guaranteed for one year and changes can be made without cost. But, that's the only airline I know of.

Are there others?

Sorry, I put this airline question in the Visa forum because it relates to visas that require airline ticket changes.

I have purchased a roundtrip w/ open return using EVA. The price will be slightly more than a standard round trip, but can change your return flight as many times as needed upto a year without charge.

Not sure if that helps or not...

If you can change the ticket and how much it cost depends on the ticket class, indicated with a letter like class "Y". That relates to the conditions of your ticket, in essence how cheaper a ticket, the more restriction are on it, like validity, posibility to change date or not, etc.

Note that if you have a visa (tourist visa is good enough) you don't need to have a ticket out of the country.

Even for a visa exempt entry you don't need a return ticket, just a ticket out of the country. A cheap ticket to a neighbouring country will do.

as Mario noted, the "Y" class (economy) ticket would be pretty much the only way to make continuous changes to your

departure date.

the set back of the "Y" class economy is that this ticket can be very costly and at times depending on season and airlines

may be the same price as a discounted 'business class ticket'.

China airlines (Taiwan), EVA airlines (Taiwan) have better pricing flexibilities but the cost will be significantly higher as

W' noted, but not as higher as UA, Delta, JAL, ANA.

I find Asiana has the best service but the flights are too infrequent to be convenient. United is generally my first choice.

Thanks for the info, Guys! jap.gif

You need to tell the board where you are flying to.

KAL gives one year tickets I believe, flys most major destinations via ICN. Stopovers are cheap, 777s are clean and eqp with video and usb hookups.

KAL flights for May onwards are pretty full (cheap seats).

Try:

Thaifly, Wisma Travel, Moxtravel and OK travel agency (which currently has best price but some of our legs are waitlisted).
