bina Posted December 7, 2005 Share Posted December 7, 2005 some suggestions for consolidating info and pinning up: lists of vets -- small animal list of vets -- large animal (buffalo, cow etc or are they just gov. vets?) rabies vaccine info for dogs; tick medicines, etc. availability, pet places etc livestock agri. sites (i have a few in thai already) relavant amimal words in thai (we had a thread with that i started somewhere for livestock, with random chances' help) pet vaccine requirements in thailand pet travel requirements/pet friendly hotels local animal rescue places (theres someone on the forum does that i always forget who it is, one of the women) boarding kennels in thailand i've noticed that these things are always asked so might as well pin up i know livestock is not exactly pets but its good to gather all info in one spotsince livestock is agric. but needing vets, food extra care also.... a thread that lists or intorduces theose members that have pet/livestock interests etc congrats.... We need a list of Avian vets too and a list of pet friendly hotels just for Brownstoney I can help out with DNA sexing, no, birds only........ Bambina chose a great time to take a holiday... Not. BambinA Posted December 7, 2005 Share Posted December 7, 2005 (edited) pet vaccine requirements in thailand i will start with dog .. tomorrow cat you guys can do "deworming" (DW) puppy (and kitten) when he/she has 2 wks old and then repeat every 2-4 wks till finish vac.... then every 4-6 mths basic in dog has 6 kinds of disease that we wanna do 1 canine distemper / leptospirosis/hepatitis / bronchitis (same vial) 2 canine enteritis virus (parvo/corona) 3 rabies start with 2 mths old - 1 or 2 +DW 2 wks later - 2 or 1 +DW 2 wks later booster with combine vaccine (1-+2+3 in same vial) 2 wks later Rabies + DW 1 yr later booster with combined vaccine (every(q) year) age 3.5-4 mth start heart worm preventation - for tablet as heartguad , q 1 mth - for injection ,Ivomec ,q 2 mths (vac programm, can be diff.. depends on vet ) See Bambi, I told you you'd be back in soon enough.
