blackthorn2005
"Patchima added that in recent years, many aspects of Thai culture such as some foods and art forms have been exploited by foreigners for commercial purposes." Blaming foreigners again! A Thai would never exploit any aspect of their culture for financial gain, would they?

spidermike007
Director General of Department of Intellectual Property, Patchima Thanasanti reported that Deputy Prime Minister Kittirat Na Ranong, who is also the commerce minister, has reappointed national intellectual property sub-committees. Oh my God. Imaging people other than the Thai people copying what others are doing. This is the original copycat nation. Have you ever seen a Thai person come up with an original idea? There are now 64 baggage shops in the town of Lamai, on Samui. This is a small town. One woman opened up the last 9 shops. Talk about originality. Farengs stealing elements of Thai culture. Terrible. Imagine either of these goombahs doing anything to stop piracy? Another committee. That is what I would expect of an impotent Thai politician. No action, just another committee, to swallow up taxpayer money on lavish lunches, and do NOTHING for the country. Stop the manufacture of handbags, DVD's, clothing, and other unlicensed goods, Imagine such a thing happening in Amusing Thailand?
