Right now I'm doing the 30-day visa exemption runs..

I'm 24 years old and I've been in thailand practically from mid september 2011, first with a 2+1 month tourist visa, then 30day visa exemption runs.. My income is passive and unstable, from U.S stocks to my U.S brokerage account.

So when I'm doing an airport visa run:

Do you think I should put on the immigration form that I'm Unemployed? Or Investor? Also, I have not stayed here for 6 months yet and so I'm not listing thailand as my country of residence in the immigration form yet.. but soon I suppose I should if there's no problems with that when I'm just on visa exemption runs?

I'm going to be applying for a student visa or a work permit soon as well, but I will have to do 1 or 2 more visa runs first.

I have tried to search for topics like this here but haven't found any.

I just want your opinions, no need for it to be legal, authoritive advice necessarily.

I have never used the new airport forms but if you are talking about the rear believe it is just data gathering and does not need to be filled in at all. Why don't you stay a day and get a tourist visa and then not have to fly again for 90 days?

Airport 30 day visa runs? As lopburi3 said, why on earth don't you just sleep over a night or two and get a new tourist visa in the Thai consulate of wherever you're flying to?

As for the forms - it doesn't matter much, what you put there - but if you do, unemployed or investor wouldn't be my first choice. Just put "Businessman". As for your country of residence, that's wherever your passport is from. Doesn't matter whether you've been here for 6 months or 6 years your country of residence is still there.

Thanks a lot for the replies guys.

I do sleepover a few nights in the countries I visit, and it's about traveling as well as visa runs.

But yea I was just thinking I can't get a tourist visa many times in a row, especially not in an embassy out of my home country but hey, if I can, I'll apply in the visa run country's embassy (for example Malaysia) then from now on. It was a bit tedious process to get it back in finland though, but after my first few one month visa runs, I think it'll be worth the extra granted month.

Yes I was talking about the rear of the form. I think that they instruct all travelers to fill in that, but next time I'll try leaving it empty and report back here if they forced me to fill it in or not.

Businessman.. hahah so vague.

And as for "country of residence" I really meant the residential address on the back/rearside of the form.

Depends where you go, some consulates are more or less friendly than others, but you shouldn't have too much trouble especially if you're going for single entry. Double entry seem to be a little bit trickier to get. But if it's more about the travelling than the visa run then yeah, 30 days at a time... whatever floats your boat... :)

Residential address would be your home address back in Finland, your country of residence. I think. I'm guessing because I don't recall the form. Either that or they want the address of where you're staying in Thailand. I can never remember mine. Actually I don't think I ever knew it - it's a house in the middle of nowhere. I usually just put the nearest resort as my address...

Ok I'm back from my visa run, got the tourist visa no problems.. and left the back side of the on-arrival immigration form unfilled, no problem. (Where it says "non-residents please fill the back side of the form also")
