Electra28
Hello Can anyone please advise. If you are a British citizen, and would like to marry a Thai citizen, do you need to be able to speak and read Thai? Or is this only if you would like to become a 'resident'? Thank you in advance. Mario2008
You do not need to be able to speak and read Thai in order to marry a Thai national. All things you need to organize you wil find on your embassy website.

Electra28
Sorry, another question. If you have a retirement visa, can that effect the rules for marrying a Thai citizen? Thank you.
