7 Day Extension?

Featured Replies

Hello. I have tried to use the search feature but its not really working out for me. Please could anyone give me a little advice on my visa situation?

I am at the end of my double entry tourist visa. I have done my 30 day extension at the local immigration office and that finishes tomorow, the 13th Feb. As far as I can gather, I am at this point totaly buggered and need to fly to Phnom Penh or Vientienne for a new TV.

I was wondering however if the local immigration office (Hua Hin) would grant me a 7 day extension - on the 30 day extension I already have? I think I knopw the answer to this already (no) but figured I would ask you guys anyway.

Im flying to england next week and it seems a shame to go through the ordeal of flying to another country, and back, before I go to England.

An alternative is of course to drive down to the Casino island and get a 14 day entry (its 14 day with a land entry, right?)

So. Is the 7 day possible?

Thanks so much

TLS

Yes 7 days is possible but it may require show of that ticket out within 7 days. It is not an actual extension as it will be refused but you will be allowed 7 days to leave so same effect as an actual extension.

Thanks so much Lopburi. Actualy this is the second time you have helped me with visa advice so thanks, appreciated. Ok so the bottom line: The official line is that 7 days extension on top of a 30 day extension is allowed BUT they may (or may not) ask to see airline ticket, yes?

Yes. The reason it is issued is for a short delay in leaving up to seven days so they sometimes ask for airline ticket to show you indeed intend to leave in that time.
