Hi,

For those expats who are employed by a Thai company in Thailand (with work permit of course) could you confirm if salaries are paid net of income tax, social fund etc. or is it paid gross leaving it up to the individual to file tax payments to revenue department.

Thanks.

You should be getting a statement each payday showing gross pay and amounts withheld.

Sometime after the first of the year the employer is supposed to give you a yearly statement that shows the totals for the prior year. It should itemize the withholding/payments by name. You use that form to file your taxes with the Revenue Department.

It is up to you, unless you have an agreement with your employer to do so, to take care of your own taxes.

Taxes due by end of March.

Paid in Gross and then ssi and taxes are then deducted by employer.

As others have said, company issue payslip showing gross salary as well as any deductions for ssi, taxes and provident fund (if any).

End of the year, issues docs to show total anual gross salary, total paid in ssi and taxes withheld as well as total contributions to provident fund.
