90 Day Report

Featured Replies

I am going to Chiang Wattana to do my 90 Day Report next week, my first one in a long time. Would appreciate a list of what is required. I'm here on a retirement visa extension.

Thanks in advance for your help.

TM.47 filled out and signed (download or do in office) and your passport with arrival card and previous report receipt. Proceed to inside area queue number once you have TM.47 ready and get number and then turn to far right inside corner and enter the 90 day reporting room and wait for number to be called/displayed.

Great! Thank you!

They don't have the copy of passport, arrival card and visa stamp requirement in BKK?

Not when you report in person, all the information required will be in his passport (with arrival card stapled into it).

But BKK immigration is switching to a new system of 90 day reporting, using a barcode on the new form without the need for passport, etc.

Did my 90 day report today at Chaeng Wattana/Bangkok Immigration. Arrived at 10am, was given a queue ticket of 179, with 93 people ahead of me. So, after checking out the shops, banks, killing time, etc., my number was called at 11:30am. But for about 15 minutes before my number was called I stood in the 90 day report room (all seats were still full just like they were full at 10am) looking at other folks holding their submission paperwork.

For those who I could easy see their paperwork, everyone I saw was holding a completed TM47 form with the receipt part appearing to be already completed with bar code. I thought to myself these folks must be holding their report from their last reporting which included a bar code...the new way of processing the reports. My last report was done in mid Nov via mail to Bangkok Immigration and the receipt they returned did not include a bar code....just the standard handwritten/stamped receipt from the bottom of the TM47. They did include a blank TM47 for the next report. So, as I watched people go to the counter and submit their paperwork, I could see some left with full page reports/receipts probably with the barcode on them. I figured when I submitted my paperwork (passport, last 90 day receipt, and hand written TM47) that I would get a completed TM47 back with bar code.

But nope that is not what happened. The immigration officer took my reported, reviewed the paperwork, typed some stuff into her computer completed the bottom portion like they always have, stamped/signed it, tore it off the report and handed the receipt back to me....just like they have been doing for years....I'm out the door at 11:30am. I have always done my reports at Bangkok. Don't know if maybe their new system broke down just before calling my number and they temporarily reverted to the old way of processing the reports.

But if today is the new normal waiting time for their new system, then please go back to the old system. They had several signs up saying something along the lines of Sorry for the Inconvenience as we implement our new system. Then again, maybe I just did my report on a bad day....but I've reported on Monday's before and never had to wait this long...they had four positions open today taking the reports...the three counter positions and a side desk position.
