Two Alleged Road Racers Killed In Pathum Thani

Two alleged road racers killed in Pathum Thani

Pathum Thani - Two motorcyclists were found dead on the ring road in this Bangkok suburban province early Sunday in what believed to be a collision during a road racing.

Police were alerted at 3:30 am that two bodies were seen on the western ring road in Pathum Thani's Sam Khok district.

Police found the body of Atthorn Angkoondee, 21 and Ratchai (surname unknown), 19, and two motorcycles.

Local residents said motorcyclists like to race on the section of the road and they often raced against traffic flow on the same road so it was possible that the two crashed head-on.

Condolences to the locals who have to endure these idiots.

"They often raced against traffic flow" and the article further stated that this may have resulted in a "head on." They were racing so who did they hit head on? Why can't the news report this so that it's coherent?

No innocents at least, used to do the same stupid thing in my 65 mustang but luckily no accidents. With age comes wisdom, er sometimes.

A head-on collision should be pretty bvious by examining the 2 bikes.

Racing to me denotes 2 or more competitors trying to get from A to B in the shortest time. I suppose it would be possible to race A-B while someone else went B-A, but it would take complicated organisation and timekeeping.

Or the race could be A-B-A and one racer was much faster than the other.

Most likely it was a normal traffic accident which the BIB can write off with minimal fuss if it is put down to those lowlife racers.

AFAIK motorcycles are not legally allowed on the Kanchanapisek Outer Ring Road. But these apparently were.

Tough sh!t. Two more for Darwin awards.

Darwin Awards?

Sorry, but what is an AFAIK motorcycle?

This ring road in Pathum Thani is notorious for this kind of idiots. Its a daily event there. They wait on the sideline, and when they see other idiots the race begins, sometimes even 5 or more. And most of the times its with normal motorbikes.

One of the reasons I always avoid that road, ans still take the old road. Much saver.

The Darwin Awards are a tongue-in-cheek honor, created byWendy Northcutt to recognize individuals who contribute to human evolution by self-selecting themselves out of the gene pool through putting themselves (unnecessarily) in life-threatening situations.

AFAIK = As far as I know...

Most likely one of them was racing & the other one was traveling in the correct direction. When they crashed, the racer's friends probably left ASAP.

Good.

Glad they dies before causing injury or death to others, such as myself and my family.

One off-topic post removed.

My condolences to the families of the victims.

Aaaa don't most Thais ride against the traffic at one time or another. I have also noticed a lot of Farungs doing the same in Pattaya lately. No sympathy for them if in an accident as they are looking for trouble and farungs definitely know it is wrong. There is an old saying do as they do in their country, WRONG.

Good.

Glad they dies before causing injury or death to others, such as myself and my family.

Dont worry mate, there are Plenty of others to fill the void..! Life is always a gamble...................

Sure there is, they are handed out posthumously.

Plenty more fools waiting to fill their ranks.
