No problems, just pay the fine at the airport as you leave .

For one day there usually is no fine.

But, if it goes to two days, you will be fined for both of them.

It hasn't presented any problems in the past when people have re-entered the country.

you get one days grace,if you overstay, but even if they pick it up at check in,just go to imm guy give him the 500 bht no sweat no big deal.

At the airport the fine will either be zero but you still get an overstay stamp if you overstay 1 day (1 day grace), or 1,000 Baht if it's 2 days (you pay for both days).

Never any issue with re-entering Thailand.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

I second that, one day overstay at the airport is still without fine, no problem reentering, too (happened to me 2 times already).
