I would assume that your last entry must be made before August 16th, therefore giving you 3 months from the date you re-enter that must be before August 16th..

Hopefully some more knowledgable members will confirm this for you, and they are normally quick to do so.

A triple entry Non-O is valid for entry into Thailand for 6 months. I only allows you to enter, but does not determine how long you can stay. To get maximum use out of the visa you must enter right after it is issued. When you enter you will be granted 60 days permission to stay and that can be extended for 30 days at immigration in Thailand, cost 1900 baht. On the last day, exit and re-enter (second entry). You will get 60 days which can again be extended for 30 days, cost 1900 baht. Now the trick. On the day before the VISA expires (or the must enter by date on the visa) exit and re-enter (third entry) and you will get another 60 days that can be extended for 30 days, cost 1900 baht. So if you enter Thailand the day after the visa is issued and use it properly you can get 265+ days.

Since you will be entering 9 days after the visa was issued, you will have only lost those 9 days if you follow what I wrote above. The third entry must be used by the date, 16 August, on the VISA, not the permission to stay date stamped in your passport.

Thanks Wayned for the info ... helps me out a lot ... i have another question ... if you dont mind ,,, what paperwork ie copies of passport or photos do i need for immigration or border control do i need if any ?? oh and i only have a one way air ticket ..

A one-way air ticket is no problem if you have a valid visa, its an airline thing and nothing to do with immigration requirements.

As for paperwork, all you need again is a valid visa in your passport for border control coming into Thailand, if you plan on visiting other countries on your border run then it is entirely dependant on which countries you visit. Laos as an example you will need a visa app form photo and fee.

That's the answer.

You're visa must be used before August 16th.

After that date no more entries or any then unused entries on that visa are allowed.

So to maximise your stay you should plan on doing a border run on the 15th of August.

You simply go to the nearest border...probaly with Laos since you will be in Korat...and exit Thailand being sure to get stamped out of country.

Then you immeadiately turn around and re-enter Thailand.

Even though your visa expires in only 1 day,,,they will stamp you into Thailand for a stay of 60 days based on that visa...your "permitted to stay until" date.

You can then extend that stay for another 30 days at your local immigration for a small fee.

This will make the date you must leave Thailand or get another different visa about (August 15th plus 90 days= sometime around the 15th of November).

Use a calander, and count the days carefully, to find the exact date you need to leave.

By my quick calculation, done in my head, I come up with 13 November...but do the math yourself and use a calander.

One final thing...when you do your border run,,,give yourself some leeway.

Because, if you are on your way to the border, and your vehicle breaks down for any reason, being only one day late won't be accepted as an excuse...you'll just be out of luck.

For your 30 day extensions in Thailand you will need a completed TM7 form, which requires 1 picture and copies of your passport data page, the permission to stay stamp , the visa page and your departure card. Number of copies is dependant on where you do the extensions. And of course 1900 baht.

When you do a border run to activate your next 60 days, you will have to purcase a visa to Laos or Cambodia. Cambodia is $20, I'm not sure about Laos as it varies depending where you are from (about $35), if you use Myanmar it's 500 baht and Malaysia is free. I'm not sure exactly what you have to have for Laos or Cambodia, but nothing, other than your passport, is required for Myanmar or Malaysia.
