australian tourist to thailand ... Can somebody tell me if you can still do a border run to cambodia to activate the second of your double tourist visa . Having stayed 60 days on tv and then extended that by a 30 day permit at jomtien immigration giving me 90 days can i now go to the border and activate my second of a double tourist visa entry or will i be denied and given a 15 day permit . WHAT I MAY BE TRYING TO SAY IS DO YOU HAVE TO FLY IN TO THAILAND TO ACTIVATE THE SECOND OF A DOUBLE ENTRY TOURIST VISA . sorry for the caps i am excited .

It depends on one thing, namely if the visa itself is still valid. If the visa you got from the consulate is still valid yoy can go to the border leave, enter another country and return to Thailand to activiate your second entry and also extend that one with 60 days without a problem.

Just look at the visa, it says something like "must be used before **-**-2012" You must enter Thailand for the second time before that day.

I entered Thailand February 10 and got a 30 day tourist visa on entry. On Feb 19 I entered Laos to visit Luang Prabang. I came back into Laos at Nong Khai and got a 15 day visa. My plans were to visit Angkor Wat and the 2nd 15 day visa would have gotten me to my departure date of March 10. Plans have changed and I will not be going to Siem Reap. My visa runs out on March 7. Is it possible to get an extension at Chaeng Wattanna or am I going to need to make a border run? If possible, what is the cost?

If your departure date is 10 March and your permmission to stay expires 7 March you can apply for 7 days as long as you have a ticket out of Thailand during those 7 days. Cost - 1900 baht.

Hi everyone, i just read all 4 related posts under the title bar & labeled "Visa Run" (in betrween "Residency & FAQs"). They all seem very outdated as they are still talking about 30 day land entry visas & 200Baht/day overstays.

I only need an extra 10-11 days on a Canadian passport. Last date in passport stamp = March 11 & my flight date is Mar 21st...thus looking at a land entry/border run. Is this still a common visa run procedure? Is PoiPet still the easiest if staying in BKK? Or is Laos or Malaysia easier? ...I am staying in BKK at the momoent.

Or can i get 10 days by extending my 30day VOA transit visa in Thailand?

Are we allowed to exit Thailand & even without entering the bordering country to come back into Thailand? Will immigration complain about the back to back entry? Is there a minimum number of days we have to stay out of Thailand?

A Cambodia visa service run for about 2,000 baht is your best option as it will provide 15 days and they do daily often to less used border crossings and includes all documents/visa/transport/food - you will find listed in English newspapers classified or Google. You can not obtain from Immigration. You must enter other country and stamp out to get new entry.
