I'm looking to come to Thailand for a year or so and want to study a government accredited language course either in the north or south of the country. Having found a load of schools in both regions I'm a little overwhelmed and would like to hear peoples personal experiences, thoughts and suggestions. Any input appreciated.

Cheers

I would be interested in hearing people's experiences as well. I got a quote from one school here in Phuket who wanted over 180,000 THB for about 240 hours of lessons, with the goal of become proficient to P6. That's 750 baht per hour and this was not a private class. I have heard the top universities in BKK charging similar prices, but when I wrote back to this school (I can't remember the name of it now) asking for information about the qualifications of their teachers and questioning their prices, I received no response.

Rich, what did you find?
