PATTAYA:--The German owner of a Bar located in East Pattaya is at the center of a human trafficking and underage prostitution case following an undercover operation at the bar on Friday.

Police Lieutenant General Panya, Region 2 Police Commissioner led a press conference at Banglamung Police Station to announce the arrest of Mr. Heinrich Lutz Meyer aged 61 and his Thai wife, Khun Tipaporn aged 34, the joint owners of the Albatros Club in Soi Kao Noi in East Pattaya. Appears to be nasty exploitation of young girls for greed. Hope he gets a well deserved stay in a Thai prison followed by deportation to Germany. I'm sure the German authorities will want an interesting converstation. Similarly, the part his wife and business partner played should be dealt with too.

Look at this. Undercover foreign operatives. Time for Thai undercover hobbyist to invade the US and Australia to teach the police how to get rid of their own problem. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Kick those foreigners out, the Thai police can do it alone, they do not need foreign Rambo's

Absolutely sick.

Why don`t the Thai authorties clear the whole area of these vermin, by closing down all the farang owned bars and deport them for running illegal businesses in Thailand

In Pattaya I guess that this case is only the tip of the iceberg, who knows what`s going on behind the scenes?

Yes it is a bad thing they have done but they have probably been paying off the police anyway but then ran into police they couldnt pay off.

Sad fact here is that underage prostitution is a common occurrence. Half the Thai bars and massage parlours would be closed down if this law was rigourously enforced.

That’s not my point, Mr Naam.

By closing down what would be a huge number of these establishments will make the area easier to police and give less potentials to foreign criminals seeking safe houses and a behind the scenes way of perpetrating their illegal activities as a means of making a living in Thailand.

It makes complete sense to me to eliminate these criminal establishments even if it`s not possible to rid the area of all of them. Plus you will find that even what may appear as solely Thai owned businesses could not function without farang financial backing, or in other words there is a farang in the shadows somewhere.

All I am actually saying is; that in Thailand there are certain laws in place regarding foreign Immigration requirements, plus employment and business ownership prohibitions, and that all they need to do is enforce them.

I guess this is similar or even more so in Pattaya.

you, honourable Sir, are a dreamer even though your dreams are commendable and completely in line with my thinking. unfortunately the ugly reality we are facing will always prevail.
