Mail Box In Bkk?

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I do not have my own apartment yet and wanted to know if there is a private mail box that I can rent in BKK somewhere? In the UK they have MBE (mail boxes etc) where you can rent a mail box.

Any info is much appreciated

Loads of places, such as MBE. I rented one for years. Lots of malls have them. Where are you located? MBK has some, so do most of the central shopping centres.

I rent a mailbox at a post office. Costs a few hundred Baht per year.

500 to be precise. But some Post Offices may require some kind of proof of address, Phaya Thai being an example. Others will do it on the spot, without specific paperwork. Go and see.

Sukhumvit Soi 11 - CheapCharlies next to it you will find MBE

<Mail box at the local postoffice>.

You can rent a mailbox in any post office for a fee. usually for 6 months.

Be aware that the box for which you have a key to retrieve your mail is in some places OPEN to the inside of the room from where the mail for you is deposited.

Anybody interested (suspicious wife) can have a look at your mail or worst take away mail, which belongs to you.

A Thai Post PO box is 500 baht for 12 months. It used to be ~ 165 baht a few years ago. I need my original passport, not sure about which visa, if any, might be required. I have/had a Non-Imm. B.

Of course it's open on the side where the postal officers put in the mail. If you don't want your wife to have a look, don't have the post box at the post office where she works.

And I rent for a year (I think they offered 2 years last time).
