Phatthalung To Hat Yai Then To Penang. Visa Run

Featured Replies

Hello All..

We hope to be visiting family in phatthalung next month and we also have a visa run mid april, so we thought we would try the train just for fun even thou it may take along time..

Anyway, is it easy to find resonable transport cost to Penang from Hat Yai near the railway station.

Thanks in advance

Debra

There's shared taxis that make the run from Hat Yai to Butterworth.

You can also get the train.

Or take a bus to the border, walk across and get a bus on the other side.

There might even be a bus all the way?

Yes, there is an abundance of travel agents nearby specialized in Malaysian journeys, border runs.
