What happened to the mighty Ludditeman?

He used to walk this forum in the way that dinosaurs once walked the earth. He was a giant amonst men.

When Mr Luddite spoke, people sat up and took notice. His posts struck chords. His words resonated.

So what happened?

Did he get bored of batting against us (predominantly) second XI bowlers?

Did he move further up the slopes of Mount Olympus in order to bat with the Gods?

Or did one of this forum's venerable umpires put an end to his worthy innings?

Perhaps the great SBK clean bowled him with an inswinging yorker.

Or perhaps the talented IJUSTWANNATEACH sent him back to the pavilion with a well-disguised googly.

But whatever the reasons, I hope the good gentleman is as happy today as he used to be when he was here at the crease.
