sunny747
Hello, i have the latest LPG system in my car. during office hour, i have to park my car under hot sun for at least 10 hours. sometimes the gauge meter shows as high as 60 degree Celsius (inside) while parked under sun during these blazing hot days. questions, is it going to affect my lpg tank anyhow? thanks,
VocalNeal
I have heard about difficulty filling if the tank is hot but nothing else. They have safety valves anyway. I take it your tank is in the trunk and not underneath.

slapout
We always use the 95% marker as full for any LPG tank on a vehicle. The filler/storage tanks, on the farm set in full sunlight and never had a problem. Never had a problem with the tanks on vehicles which in many cases were exposed to direct sunshine, plus motor heat, either. The temperture would not affect the pressure of the LPG vessel to any measurable degree, so I can foresee no adverse effect.
soundman
Compressed gas tanks usually have a two to three fold Test Pressure over Working Pressure, so there is a fair safety margin built into the design, and it is pretty hard to get one to burst. This is all presuming the safety valve fails.
