Can A 30 Days On Arrival Be Extended A Further 30 Days?

Need to know if I enter Thailand by air and get a 30 day stamp on arrival, can I extend for another 30 days without leaving?

Or should I just obtain a 60 day tourist visa from a consulate outside Thailand? ( British Passport)

NO, you would have to leave, you get 30 days by Air and 15 days by Land border.

Without a valid visa staying more than thirty days the Airline may refuse to board you.

Get a 60 day tourist visa and all sorted, and that could be extended by 30 days.
